Maximum Transformation
Maximum transformation is used to return the largest value in the given source columns. You have to choose at least two source columns to apply this transformation.
Steps to Apply Maximum Transformation
This guide will give you a brief idea of what steps you need to follow to apply the Maximum Transformation in a queried data
Step1: Add Transformation Type
First, visit the "Add Transformation" page to add the Maximum transformation.
Step 2: Select Source Columns
In the Source Columns box specify at least two columns to get the largest of the given expressions.
Step3: Select Target Column
Click the Target Column dropdown to select the existing column to store the transformed data
You can also the Create a new column text to populate transformed data into a new column
Use Advanced Options
- To use advanced options. First, click on the Advanced Options down arrow
- Click on the Target Column Type dropdown to specify the data type of the target column
- If your target column data type is decimal and you want an exact numeric, you can specify the scale (Scale can be positive or negative) and precision (the total number of digits, both to the left and the right of the decimal point)
If the scale is not specified, the default scale is 4. If the precision is not specified, the default precision is 20 :::
Step 4: Save the Configuration
Click the Save button to save the configuration.
Add Another Transformation
After defining the first Transformation, you can add multiple transformations to the defined Transformation or add another new Transformation step to a bot This flexibility helps you to get the desired output in one go.
Step 5: Save & Test Transformation
Once the above-mentioned steps are done, click the Save&Test transformation to test and save the transformation.
