Configure the Destination

Step by Step Guide to Configure Communication as Destination

Step 1: Add Email as a Destination

  • Go to the "Add Destination" page to select your desired communication as a Destination

If you have selected SMTP as a Destination. Before moving to the second step, first click the Select Integration dropdown to select the integrated SMTP.

Step 2: Add Recipients & Subject

ToIn the To field, add the primary recipient's email address.
Add CC & BCCIf you want to send the personalized report to multiple recipients click Add CC & BCC use Comma to seperate their email addresses.
SubjectIn the Subject field enter a subject line for the email.

Note

  • The total number of recipients you can put in (To and Add CC & BCC) fields are 50

  • You can also pass parameters in To and Subject fields using {{}} curly braces

Step 4: Select Process Mode

You can send the report to the recipients by choosing one of the following process mode-

Batch Wise Mode: With batch-wise mode, you can send the data to the recipients in a single batch operation. For example, if you have 10 rows of data, the recipients will get the whole data in a single email.

Row Wise Mode: With row-wise mode, you can send the data to the recipients row by row. For example, if you have 10 rows of data; for each row, the recipients will get a separate email.

Step 3: Configure e-mail body

In the Body field, add a custom message that sends along with your data. You can add different parameters by using {{}}}

For format, you can choose:

NormalApply different Heading styles to the headings and subheadings in your messages
  • You can also pass the parameter in the Body section using {{}} curly braces.

Select Email Templates

You can send the report in the preformatted and pre-written email templates to keep the consistency and standardized approach in an email. Read this doc to know how to use email templates.

Preview

  • Before you send an email, click Preview to see how exactly your email will look like. And if you have any of the email parameters selected in a body, it will be returned with the test value in preview mode.

Step 4: Save & Test

Click Save & Test to configure the email successfully

Step 6: Publish the Bolt

Click Publish and give a meaningful name and description to the bolt.

Run the Bolt

Once your Bolt gets created successfully, go to the Bolt Overview Page, click the Run button to send the email

Scheduling

After successfully sinking data to the destination, you can click on the "Schedule" to run data continuously to a destination and repeat at a given time or interval.
