SSH Authentication

Bolt supports connecting to various data sources that are hosted within a private network via SSH authentication.

Steps to Integrate Datasource into Bolt with SSH

Please follow the steps below to establish the connection between your database & Bolt-

Step 1: Connection Details

Connection Details

Click on Add SSH configuration. It will open a dialogue box requesting to enter the following connection details-

  • SSH Host

  • SSH Port

  • SSH Username and Password

  • SSH Auth Method - We support private key and password authentication methods

Example

Let's say to configure MongoDB SSH account to Boltic; you must have the following details:

SSH HostIt is possibly a Public IP Address, for eg. 65.0.172.223
SSH PortIt is the port number of your SSH host, for eg. 22
SSH Username and PassowrdEnter the username and password you use to log into your MongoDB database, for eg. Username- pexuser and Password - pexPass
SSH Auth MethodEnter SSH private key or SSH password
Ssh Host and Port

Step 2: Test & Save

Once you fill in all the pre-required credentials, click on the Test & Save button.

Note

SSH Auth Method

When you click on SSH Auth Method drop-down menu, choose from either of the two options. For say, if you choose the Private key, upload the file for the private key, or if you choose password authentication, enter the password
