Frequently asked questions

If you have more questions, we are here to help and support

How do I connect my OpenRouter account to Boltic.io?
You can easily connect by putting your OpenRouter API Key into the Boltic Integrations dashboard. To do this, go to your OpenRouter settings, make a new secure key and then paste it into the "Add Connection" field in Boltic. This secure connection lets Boltic act as a programmatic interface, so your workflows can instantly access hundreds of AI models without having to set them up manually.
Is the OpenRouter integration secure?
Absolutely. Boltic puts enterprise-level security first for all AI communications. All of your data is safe because all transmissions are encrypted with HTTPS/SSL, which is the industry standard. OpenRouter also lets you choose "Zero Data Retention" (ZDR) with many of its providers. This means that your sensitive business prompts won't be used for training or kept longer than necessary to complete the request.
What actions can be automated with the OpenRouter integration?
The integration supports a vast library of actions, such as Chat Completions, Text Embeddings for semantic search and Multimodal Vision tasks. You can automate high-level reasoning, like making personalised marketing emails based on CRM data, summarising comprehensive legal documents, or even sorting images for e-commerce inventories. This node can automate almost any job that needs to process text or data like a person would.
Can I customise my automation workflows for OpenRouter?
Yes, Boltic's no-code builder lets you customise a lot of things. You can use advanced logic like IF/THEN/ELSE rules to send prompts to the right model based on its level of difficulty. For example, you could send simple enquiries to a less expensive model while challenging ones to a flagship model. You can also use Boltic's data transformation tools to make sure that the AI's response is formatted correctly before it gets to your target system, like an email or a database.
Are there limitations on how many AI models I can use?
You can use as many different models as you want. You have access to more than 500 models from companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Meta from one Boltic hub. You can even use more than one model in the same workflow. For example, you could use one model to get the information and then use another to rewrite it creatively. This gives you complete control over your AI strategy.
How do I disconnect or remove my OpenRouter integration?
It's easy to keep track of your connections. Go to the "Connections" section of your Boltic.io dashboard and click "Disconnect" on the OpenRouter tile. This action immediately removes access, stops any workflows that are currently running that are linked to that key and makes sure that no more API calls are made. This way, you can keep full control over your security credentials.
Who can I contact for integration support?
If you need help with designing workflows, doing prompt engineering, or mapping data in the Boltic platform, our support team is here to help. However, if you have problems with your OpenRouter account balance, API key permissions, or a specific model being down on the provider's side, it's best to check the OpenRouter support documentation or their developer community.
Are there any usage fees for Boltic.io’s OpenRouter integration?
There are two costs associated with use: Boltic Fees and OpenRouter Credits. The amount you pay for Boltic depends on your subscription plan and how many tasks you complete successfully. OpenRouter uses a pay-as-you-go credit system, which means that the model provider charges you for each token you use. This structure is very helpful because it lets you choose models that fit your budget for each task, thereby helping you get the most out of your money.
